It all started in Wuhan, a city in Eastern China having a population of over 11 million. No one imagined that an epidemic started in China would soon turn into a global pandemic. In December 2019, Health authorities in China confirmed that numbers of people in Wuhan, China, are being treated for pneumonia from a source yet unknown. Almost all the patients had visited the live animal market in Wuhan confirming the suspicion that the virus had its origin in Wuhan’s animal market.
It was January 2011 when China reported its 1 st novel corona virus death. The government responded swiftly to the outbreak by placing Wuhan and nearby cities under a quarantine surrounding around 50 million people in the province.
What’s more astonishing is the fact that not China, but US is now the new epic center of the novel corona virus outbreak, becoming the first ever country to surpass China total confirmed cases.
