13 Latest Movies You'll Want to Watch This Summer

 Summertime is probably one of the best times for movie watching. For those who are outside the house more, nothing better than spending the day at the beach or park with a good film to watch over and over again! The following movies are some that will be premiering this summer, so check them out.


1.) Beverly Hills Cop 4- June 12, 2016

Eddie Murphy returns as Axel Foley in this new installment of the franchise. Foley gets up to his old tricks again when he travels back to his hometown Detroit, Michigan where things take an unexpected turn when someone important is murdered under very suspicious circumstances. He teams back up with his cop friend Billy Rosewood played by Brandon T. Jackson and together they set out to solve the mystery.

The movie will be released on June 12, 2016, in theaters across America.


2.) Independence Day: Resurgence- June 24, 2016

Twenty years after the events of the first film, Earth has been preparing for retaliation by an alien race that was only temporarily defeated and disrupted by interference from a slightly larger alien race (who were in turn thwarted by humans). To protect themselves against this new threat, humans begin building massive spaceships which can function as both cities and weapons platforms after breaking free from their gravitational pull. Now we wait until it's released on June 24th!


3.) Star Trek Beyond- July 22nd, 2016

Starfleet gets stranded in deep space after the Federation starship, USS Enterprise, comes under attack by a mysterious wave of unknown aliens. The crew must then work together to find their way back home with the help of an unstoppable enemy who will stop at nothing until the crew is destroyed. As usual, the movie will be released on July 22nd in theaters across America.


4.) Ghostbusters- July 15th, 2016

The Ghostbusters are "back, baby" to face off against a new threat that arises when malevolent ghosts threaten New York City. Three academics (Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, and Kate McKinnon) stumble upon their paranormal activities which lead them down a very dark path as they try to save New York from destruction along with Chris Hemsworth who plays the new secretary. It will be released on July 15th, so check it out!


5.) Jason Bourne- July 29th, 2016

After finding the truth about his father and regaining his memory, the CIA assassin turned fugitive, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon), is back for another action-packed adventure where he must try to uncover hidden truths while taking on a whole slew of new enemies along the way. The movie will be released on July 29th in theaters across America.


6.) Suicide Squad-August 5th, 2016

A secret government agency recruits imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency and saving the world from an unknown but powerful threat in the form of an Enchantress (Cara Delivigne).

The movie will be released on August 5th, 2016.


7.) Snowden- December 25, 2016

  Oscar® winner Oliver Stone directs this dramatic thriller based on the true events of CIA employee Edward Snowden (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), who was an analyst and a contractor for the National Security Agency before being exiled from the U.S. due to his actions as a whistleblower after he exposed numerous global surveillance programs run by US intelligence agencies in 2013. Now we must wait until it's a release which is December 25th!


8.) Ghostbusters 2- July 15th, 2016?

Although there hasn't been any confirmation that a sequel will happen, I would be remiss if I didn't include something Ghostbusters related on my list. So we'll go ahead and assume that it will be coming out July 15th, 2016 in theaters across America!


9.) The Girl on the Train- October 7th, 2016

A divorcee spends her daily commute fantasizing about a seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds after. The movie is based on the book by Paula Hawkins and stars Emily Blunt and Justin Theroux. It will be released on October 7th in theaters across America.


  10.) Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: November 18, 2015

This new installment to the Harry Potter Universe takes place seventy years before the Harry Potter series, starring Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander. Scamander arrives in New York City with a magical suitcase full of creatures that escape which leads to all kinds of unfortunate events. It will be released on November 18th in theaters across America!


11.) Rogue One: A Star Wars Story- December 16th, 2016

  A rogue band of resistance fighters unites for a mission to steal the Death Star plans and bring new hope to the galaxy. The movie stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, and Ben Mendelsohn just to name a few. It will be released on December 16th!


12.) Passengers- December 21st, 2016

  Two passengers are awakened 90 years too soon from suspended animation on a spaceship bound for a new planet, and they must work together to survive the long journey. It stars Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt. It will be released on December 21st!


  13.) Assassin's Creed- December 21st, 2016

  After his father is killed in a robbery Michael(Michael Fassbender) is sent to a remote location where he learns about his ancestry which leads him into the world of assassins fighting off Templars while searching for the Apple of Eden which holds all mankind's knowledge. The movie also features Marion Cotillard along with Jeremy Irons who plays Alan Rikkin, CEO of Games corporation Abstergo Industries.
