How To Promote Physical Products? - Your Guide To CPA Marketing!

When I was first getting started in my internet marketing career, I remember the first "niche" that attracted me to it.

Yes, finally there is a way to make money online! Thanks for showing me this secret path. And yes, please feel free to email me anytime...

The funny thing is though, you've probably heard it before...  that even with the best products and most knowledgeable buyers, selling physical products online can be daunting if not downright impossible!

How does one go about selling physical products?

Nowadays, especially with all these affiliate networks out there who are willing to buy your product reviews, you're thinking of promoting - why would anyone be willing to part with their hard-earned cash just so they can pay you and me for a product review?

Well, of course, there's another route you can take up if you're not willing to put your money where your mouth is - the CPA networks.

I'll get into that in more detail later on though...

For now, let's go about promoting these amazing physical products!

You know what it's like reading some affiliate marketing blog or watching some YouTube video on marketing tips and knowing how easy they make it seem...  I mean, I guess it is EASY when they say it; but does that mean we should start believing them and think we too can do the same? Or at least copy what they're doing like everyone else?! No way!  It takes a certain skill set to promote physical products.

The first thing you need above everything else is your original thought process, which will allow you to see opportunities that others may not have even thought about or be able to comprehend!  You have something that works for you and it just might work for someone else too - if they are willing to put in the effort of course...

If you want to sell physical products on the internet, I'm talking CPA marketing here - another network I've heard some rumblings about, but haven't had a chance to look into yet - there are a couple of things you need to know before getting started with this type of promotion.

First thing's first, let's get down with what CPA stands for!

What does CPA mean?

CPA is the acronym for "cost per action", which means that when someone takes a certain action (in most cases it's filling in their contact details) you get paid for every single one.  It's much like affiliate marketing where you need to drive traffic to your site; but instead of earning commissions on sales, you earn commissions based on the actions people take once they have landed on your landing page or lead capture page.

Okay so enough of this mumbo jumbo... how do I get started?!

1) First and foremost, there isn't a set time frame in which you can start promoting CPA offers right away without having a website or a product of your own.  You need to have a website that you're willing to put up for sale, but also have some capital so that you can initially start with finding affiliate products/offers to promote.

2) Once you've found an offer, find something unique about the product and package it up nicely in a way people would want to hear about!  One thing I will say though is that there's a no better time than now - nowadays we live in a world where everyone wants everything right away; whether it be their next meal or they need something by yesterday (which is kind of ironic considering how much people like saving money and not spending). So if they don't get it now then? Well... okay maybe my analogy isn't very good or is it?

3) You need to be 100% confident in the product you're promoting.  Believe me, if someone doesn't believe in the offer/product they are offering; then customers will sense that doubt sets in and it won't just be the customers who lose out but also your potential future business!  I mean, if you have doubts about what you're selling then how can you expect your customer to trust what you're saying about said product?!

4) With every step of your sales funnel make sure there's a point where people can opt-in for more information!  For example, let's say I'm selling some supplement tablets which have amazing benefits attached.  Instead of simply making a video review and hoping people will click on my site to buy it I should make a short 2-4 minute animated video about the benefits of this product, then put up an opt-in page at the end so that people can sign up for more information.  This way you're earning commissions right away AND still have leads captured in case you decide to sell them something else later down the line!

Okay... I think that's everything! Hope anyone reading this has found some value out of this post and if not then just come back another time where I'll be talking about what kind of "actions" these CPA affiliates are taking.
